Isabel Richer is an Intermediate Project Architect and has worked for PR-TY since 2007 and as an OAA licensed Architect since 2014. Her experience includes a broad range of building types including primary and secondary schools, arenas, community centres, commercial and office buildings. She is experienced in interior office fit-ups, renovations, additions and new buildings. She excels in managing technically complex projects.

Some of Isabel’s more notable projects include Qualicum/Graham Park Community Building (2014), École Sainte Katerie (2014), Office Building 436 Hazeldean Rd. (2014),  Nouvelle école élementaire à Arnprior (2017), Nouvelle école élémentaire à Riverside Sud (2019), New Residence and Kennel for Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind (2019)

As a Project Architect, she is responsible for smaller to medium sized buildings and carries these out independently. For larger projects she works together with senior project Architects. She is involved in all phases of the work including design, project management, production of contract documents, shop drawing review and contract administration. She is familiar with and has worked for multiple school boards in the Ottawa area and in eastern Ontario.

Isabel has a strong interest and passion for green architecture and sustainability and environmental issues. She enjoys playing with materiality and selecting finishes for her projects. She is experienced in meeting with the Public and makes project presentations to  client groups, neighbourhood community associations as well as building user groups. She is fluently bilingual with excellent writing and oral abilities in both French and English.

She has strong Autocad Drafting skills, and is well versed in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Project) and Primavera management software.

Isabel graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies in 2005 and a Masters of Architecture in 2007. She has been a member since 2014 of the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (MRAIC) and the Ottawa Regional Society of Architects (ORSA).
